The Queensland Rifle Association

The Queensland Rifle Association (QRA) was first formed in 1861 to provide marksmanship training to citizens in the interest of the defence of the Colony.

The QRA fosters target rifle shooting and firearms training through their clubs. A variety of classes of rifle shooting are conducted under the Standard Shooting Rules (SSRs) of the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA).

Membership and active participation in a rifle club offers firearms owners a safe and convenient venue for their use and a genuine reason to hold a licence.
