Two days of solid competition resulted in NSW taking wins in both the Kosi-Ford Trophy and the FS Combined Aggregate. Our FSTD shooters certainly took the competition to the wire in the aggregate with a win on Day 2.
Day 1 was a tough day for many of our shooters. We finished second in the Masters (TR) while our FSTD shooters finished in third place in the Ernie Mace Match.
Day 2
Congratulations to our QLD FSTD Team (COACH - Ernie Mace, SHOOTERS - Ian Marks, Ching Tan, Paul Johnson, Peter Noonan and Henk Doggen) who won the Rob Richards-Mousley Match (200, 600, 700 & 800m) on day 2 by 11 points.
Our TR team (COACH – John Caske, SHOOTERS – Geoff Wellburn, Colin Jones, Helen Griffiths, Tina Thornhill, Don Thompson) finished second overall with 1337.102. NSW took the Kosi-Ford Trophy on 1360.153 with Victoria third on 1324.97.
FS combined aggregate saw a win for NSW (1575.101) over QLD 1574.85 who took second place. Victoria was third with 1550.84.
Belmont Shooting Complex
The Queensland Rifle Association fosters target rifle shooting and firearms training through our clubs. Different classes of rifle shooting are conducted by our Clubs under the Standard Shooting Rules (SSRs) of the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA).
