QRA Rules- propsed changes

Members

Since the previous draft Rules were circulated for comment the Board with the assistance of Council has considered a number of points raised and made amendments to the draft. The main changes from the draft are as follows:

 Zone Representatives – Rules 44, 45 & 46

 Zone Representatives rather than Areas.

• Zones expanded to 10 determined on location, rather than equality of member numbers, as members will each get a vote an even spread of numbers is not as important.

• Zone Representatives to be elected by the clubs they represent.

• Transitional arrangement for Zone Councillors become Zone Representatives

 Governance Committee – Rules 18.2, 20.5 & 29

• Clarifies that the Governance Committee endorses candidates

• Endorsement by the Governance Committee is not a requirement to proceed to an election for the Board

 Committee members – Rule 31.4

• Additional clause to identify that the Board is responsible for selecting committee members.

• This will also be supplemented by Board Policy on the selection process

Please also find below additional Policy relating to Delegations of Authority and proposed new Zones.

Please see attached the following documents relating to the proposed changes to the QRA Rules.

As at 28/02/20 the documents below have been amended.
