B Grade Queens winners Gary Henderson - NativesB Grade Queens winners Gary Henderson - NativesAshley Bidgood from Crows Nest-Goombungee finished a close third in the 2014 National Queen’s Prize shot at Belmont in Brisbane.

The Queens contested by a top field of 181 shooters was won by Bendigo’s Geoff Grenfell who dropped just a single shot in the days of competition.

Ashley was in a group of four shooters who finished two shots down on 498.48 behind Jim Bailey from Holsworthy who posted 63 centres.

Consistent high scoring during the 2014 championships included a perfect 50.10 by North Arm member Colin Cole at 900 yards.

The 2014 Queen’s Prize B Grade was won by Gary Henderson from Natives in Brisbane from Mungindi’s Heather Jamieson. The C Grade winner was Markku Ahonen, also from Natives.

Central Queensland shooter Nick Williamson, a Gemfields Club member, won the F Standard A Grade Queen’s from Brent Noble, Ipswich.

Cannon Hill’s Mark Fairbairn was second in F Standard Target Rifle.
