Duncan Series

Kiwi Shooter wins Duncan

Kiwi shooter Rob Johansen from Gisbourne has struck form early on this visit to Brisbane, taking out the Duncan Memorial Match, the lead-up event to the 122nd QRA Queens Prize.

Rob and North Arm member Colin Cole went head to head the whole way with Rob prevailing by the narrowest of margins 298.34 to 298.33.

The pair were all locked up going into the last range at 1000 yards on Wednesday with Rob prevailing 49.6 to 49.5.

Rob has been a regular visitor to Belmont range every year since 2007 so he obviously likes the place although this was his first big win.

He led a strong New Zealand contingent to the Queens this year with Ashburton shooter John Snowden third in the Duncan with a score of 297.24.
