CLUB MEMBERS WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE
Maximillian Howitz
Maximillian Samuel Horwitz was a member of the Townsville Rifle Club. He enlisted and served with the 2nd ANMEF to Rabaul, then re-enlisted with the 15th Battalion and served in Egypt and at Gallipoli. Lance Corporal was killed in action at Gabe Tepe, Gallipoli on 7 August 1915.
