QRA proudly dedicated the Museum’s John Johnstone OAM Room
On Saturday, following the Belmont Anzac Day service, the QRA proudly dedicated the Museum’s John Johnstone OAM Room, naming this space in honour of Johnno’s extraordinary contribution to our Association.
The room was dedicated by Mr Glenn Rush, Chair of the Museum Working Group, and officially unveiled by Isobelle Johnstone.
Johnno’s vision and hard work shaped the Museum we know today – from arranging the first memorabilia display in 2002, to commissioning Home on the Range for our 150th year, to driving the creation of our purpose built Museum building and the Belmont War Memorial. His passion for preserving our history has left a legacy that will continue to guide and inspire future generations of Queensland shooters.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to honour a Life Member who gave so much to the QRA and to the preservation of our story.
If you have items, photographs, memorabilia, or expertise you would like to contribute to the Museum, please contact the working group at museum@qldrifle.com – they would love to hear from you.
