QUEEN’S FINAL 50

This year QRA will include a final 50 format, in a 15 shot match at 1000 yards, to determine the winners. 50 competitors will include the top 20% in Target Rifle, F Standard, F Open and FTR – based on the progressive Aggregate after the last range. The progressive aggregate score will be carried into the final to create a new aggregate score which will determine placings.

Practice Day

Practice Day is scheduled for Tuesday 11th August. Sessions run for 30 minutes, with no limit on the number of shots. Tickets must be pre-booked with the time slots commencing 10am at 300 yards and 1pm at 1000 yards. The Zero range is open daily from 8am.

Champion of Champions

The match will be conducted Thursday 13th August after the Duncan Aggregate.
15 shots at 1000 yards approximate start time : 2:00pm

QRA conducted a survey this year to determine the level of support for a change in the conditions relating to the Champion of Champions match. Historically, qualification for this event requires the competitor being the DRA Champion.
The Board have determined the competition will now be eligible to ALL Club Champions to enter. This will extend to all the categories.

Covid safe - program adjustments

Modified Program

The program has been modified to provide a COVID Safe environment. Competitors will be squadded to achieve not more than 8 shooters per target, which will be split into 2 details. Each detail will have one scorer, designated from the competitors, for each range. The second detail will commence at the same time, allowing for cleaning between scorers.
Anyone familiar with Duncan Range will understand the reduced amount of space available behind the firing line at 1000 yards. The main 1000 yards match will be on Queen’s Day 2. The timing of the match will see a gap of at least 20 minutes between the first and second detail.
We encourage competitors to disperse from behind 1000 yards as soon as possible after completing shooting/scoring.
