A Special General Meeting of the Queensland Rifle Association has been called for Friday 15th August 2025 at 5:30pm to be held in the Jim Rush Training Room, Belmont. AGENDA
At the Annual General Meeting on 26 April 2025, the membership was informed of an administrative error of the Association’s Rule 19 in the submission to the Office of Fair Trading in 2024. During the meeting, members expressed a desire for greater clarity regarding Rule 19.1, specifically the minimum qualification period required for Interested Board Members.
Following a thorough review by the QRA Board and the QRA Governance Committee, the proposed amendments and rationale will be presented for voting at the upcoming Special General Meeting.
Proxy voting will be allowed for this meeting, all proxy forms are to be submitted to the QRA Board Secretary, 48 hours prior to the commencement of the meeting.
Members may submit clarification questions regarding the proposed motions to the QRA Board Secretary via email at secretary@queenslandrifle.com.au. All questions will be considered and addressed by the Board. Where appropriate, responses will be communicated to the broader membership prior to the meeting.

Belmont Shooting Complex
The Queensland Rifle Association fosters target rifle shooting and firearms training through our clubs. Different classes of rifle shooting are conducted by our Clubs under the Standard Shooting Rules (SSRs) of the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA).
