COMPETITION EXPLAINED

CLUB - Club championships - internal club competition (club members against each other)
DRA (District Rifle Association) Fixtures - club team competition (clubs against other clubs)
Eric Murry Shield - Teams event (call for nominations in three categories: Target Rifle, F Class or Composite (Target Rifle/F Class). Scores calculated on the MSCI table.
Club or DRA - Prize meeting - (individual shooters against peers from different QRA clubs)
Australia Day Championships - OPM (supporting the QRA Juniors). Competition to raise funds for the QRA Junior shooters.
QRA - City vs Country (selected team members - clubs in metropolitan area against all other clubs)
QRA - State Champion of Champions (champions of all DRA’s shooting against each other)
QRA - State Championships with winner shooting for Queens Price - (individual shooters against peers from different clubs (including National and International participants). Every state organised their own State Championship. Exists of Archer Trophy & F Class challenge (W-up) - Duncan Series (lead up event) - Queens.
NRAA - National Championships with winner shooting for Queens Prize - (individual shooters against peers from different clubs (including National and International participants). Includes the lead-up event of the Presidents.
NRAA - National Teams Events - (State teams against State Teams
ICFRA - Commonwealth Games (Australian Team selection against other countries of the Commonwealth)

About Us

The Queensland Rifle Association fosters target rifle shooting and firearms training through our clubs. Different classes of rifle shooting are conducted by our Clubs under the Standard Shooting Rules (SSRs) of the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA).
