CLUB MEMBERS WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE
Duncan Baxter was a member of Townsville Rifle Club with his 2 sons, Angus and Neil who died at Gallipoli. He enlisted in Townsville and served with his second eldest son, Angus. They served with C Company of the 42nd Battalion in the Campaign on the Western Front. CQMS Duncan Baxter died of wounds he sustained while on active duty on 31 March 1917 at Polygon Wood, Belgium.
