NRAA QUEENS 2015

Tim Berry Runner-Up Australian Queens

Natives member Tim Berry was runner-up in the 2015 Australian Queens Prize shot at Belmont range in Brisbane.

He led a strong showing of QRA members in the national titles contested by more than 180 shooters from around Australia and New Zealand.

Tim had shot nine possibles going into the challenging 1000 yards final range where he dropped two shots to concede the title to Bendigo’s Geoff Grenfell.

North Arm’s Colin Cole had a strong championship, winning the Presidents lead up match, placing fourth in the Queens and second in the Presidents-Queens aggregate.

Ashley Bidgood from Crows Nest-Goombungee was sixth in the Queens.

Pacific Rifle Club member Tina Ballenbach won the C Grade Queens.

The F Open Queens was won by Brisbane shooter Craig McGowan.

In the Royal Kaltenberg Cup, a 15 shot match at 1000 yards, Geoff Grosskreutz from Brisbane was a close third.

In the inaugural Mace Medal, a 15 shot match for scope class shooters, QRA members filled the three runner-up positions — Wayne Latham from Natives in F Standard, Craig McGowan, Brisbane in F Open and Cannon Hill’s Mark Fairbairn in F Target Rifle.
