What a great way to start over a week of shooting on the Duncan Range! Local shooters were joined by international visitors from Indonesia and New Zealand, interstate and intrastate competitors to make for some hot competition. With over 120 competitors lining up to shoot TR, F Standard, F Open, FTR and Sporter / Hunter, the stage was set!

The highs and the lows of day 1 of the Pacific RC OPM brought smiles and frowns alike! Michael Dickenson kept clean over the first 4 ranges with a 200.25 with Kim O’Loghlen and Michael Collings in second and third.
John Caske led TRB with a 196.15 with Byron Huck and Bas Hopkins only a point behind. Tom Noonan led TRC with Brett Kettle and Nicola Sobszak second and third.
FSA saw Hamish O’Donnell leading Andrew McKillop and Ivor Davidson while FSB saw Wendy Free leading Joseph Noonan and John Gnech!

Leon Lindley was ahead of Mark Fairbairn and Brett Clarkson in FTR.
Wayne Latham took out SH STD with Mike Samuels and Andy Coe in the minor placings while SH Open saw Robert Jackson lead on centres from Jenni Hausler and Gary Towers.
WHAT A GREAT IDEA! Lunch was put on by Pacific - on the range! THEN - followed up by a great 3 course meal at the end of the day! What a huge success with competitors enjoying great food, great company and lots of fun and frivolity!
Day 2 on range was something special – a great atmosphere which was absolute contagious with all competitors! There was some hard work to be done to complete the 2 day event with 2x 900 yards and 2x 1000 yards! That was always going to test our shooters!
Michael Dickenson held off Kim O’Loghlen while Mirko Teglasi shot consistently well to take out third in TRA. John Caske continued his day 1 form to take TRB – as did Tom Noonan in TRC.
Henk Doggen shot well to take out FSTD A with Andrew McKillop and Hamish O’Donnell taking the minor placings.
FSB saw John Gnech have a cracker at the longs taking 3 of the 4 ranges thus landing him the Grand Agg!
F OPEN saw Frog Lowe bring it home at the longs while Frans Knox edged past Leon Lindley to snatch FTR!
Great work to Pacific Rifle Club and to all those who helped make this happen.
