CLUB MEMBERS WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE
Hugh Quinn was an active member of the North Queensland Kennedy Regiment Rifle Club. He enlisted in the AIF as a Captain and saw active duty in the Gallipoli Campaign including the initial landing at ANZAC Cove. He was killed in action at what was known as Quinn’s Post on the Gallipoli Penisula.

Hugh was born on 6th May 1888 in Charters Towers, QLD and was ‘Killed in Action’ on 29 May 1915 at at Quinn’s Post, Gallipoli, one of the most contested position in the Anzac line.

The Queensland Rifle Association fosters target rifle shooting and firearms training through our clubs. Different classes of rifle shooting are conducted by our Clubs under the Standard Shooting Rules (SSRs) of the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA).
