QRA were pleased to be able to conduct this year’s State Championships. We shared the disappointment of not having competitors from the length and breadth of Australia, New Zealand and Japan. The range and surrounding grounds had been prepared beautifully and the targets and equipment went through the vigorous pre-event testing.

NORTH ARM RIFLE CLUB PM OCT 2017 – North Arm rifle range lived up to its challenging reputation for a big field of more than 70 shooters at the 2017 Club championship and Lilley District Open at Yandina. There were some outstanding range scores but fluky winds and humid conditions proved a test for consistency across the weekend.

Brisbane Rifle Club veteran Geoff Grosskreutz has been in fine early form for the 2017 QRA Queens, winning his club open prize shoot on Saturday, 12th.

The Queensland Rifle Association fosters target rifle shooting and firearms training through our clubs. Different classes of rifle shooting are conducted by our Clubs under the Standard Shooting Rules (SSRs) of the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA).
