Darling Downs identity Ted Long first took up rifle shooting competition in 1948 and he is still going strong as he approaches his 90th birthday in April. He has been a lifelong member of Pittsworth Rifle Club, following his father Percy into the sport which he pursues with his other passion, playing golf twice a week.
A QRA member for 70 years and still going. Glen joined the Darling Downs Rifle Club at the age of 17 and had his 87th birthday Tuesday the 18th of December 2018, making him a member for the past 70 years.

The Queensland Rifle Association fosters target rifle shooting and firearms training through our clubs. Different classes of rifle shooting are conducted by our Clubs under the Standard Shooting Rules (SSRs) of the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA).
