War Memorial, Belmont Shooting Complex

Queensland’s newest War Memorial will be Officially Opened by Mr Ross Vasta MP, Federal member for Bonner and consecrated by Chaplain LT COL (retd) Graeme Ramsden OAM this Remembrance Day, marking the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice ending the Great War of 1914-1918.

Percy Pavey

Unchallenged as the greatest competitive marksman Australia has ever produced, Percy Pavey dominated his chosen sport in the same manner as Sir Hubert Opperman in cycling, Sir Donald Bradman in cricket, and Sir Norman Brookes in tennis. His career as a top level marksman spanned more than 30 years.

NORTH ARM RIFLE CLUB PM OCT 2017 – North Arm rifle range lived up to its challenging reputation for a big field of more than 70 shooters at the 2017 Club championship and Lilley District Open at Yandina. There were some outstanding range scores but fluky winds and humid conditions proved a test for consistency across the weekend.

Billy Sing Marksman Shoot 2017 – Clermont Rifle Club

BILLY SING MARKSMAN SHOOT, CLERMONT RIFLE RANGE ,1ST AND 2ND OCTOBER 2016. The Third Billy Sing Marksman Shoot, was held at the Clermont Rifle Range on the 1st and 2nd October 2016. Saturday morning saw a very cold start with 3.8 degree temperature, warming up over the weekend to 36 degree on Sunday afternoon.

Kiwi shoots possible to win Duncan

New Zealand shooter John Snowden set a hot pace winning the Duncan lead-up match to the QRA Queens with a possible 300 with 33 centres over the six range event. John, from Ashurburton in the South Island, has been a regular visitor to Brisbane and is part of a strong 2017 Kiwi contingent.
